It's still not enough to recommend making him a Cavalier instead of a Mage or Soldier. The same applies to Cavalier as does Mercenary, except that he will benefit greatly from his speed growth. Again, although he's quite fine as a Mercenary, he's not so outstanding in the role that he should be one instead of his better classes. Once his speed develops, he may end up being the best Archer among the villagers, but not so much that it's worth making him an Archer instead of a Mage or Soldier.Īs a Mercenary, Kliff will benefit greatly from his defense growth, but not so much his speed growth there are only a few types of enemies he will outspeed that other Mercenary villagers will not. If you plan on having another villager fill the Mage role, then you might want to consider making Kliff a soldier.Īs an Archer, Kliff's impressive defenses are largely wasted, but his speed growth rate is not. If he weren't such an excellent mage, Soldier would no doubt be his best class. as well as some updates to Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadows of Valentia. This is both amusing and effective, allowing him to endure all manner of attacks thanks to his base resistance, and perhaps double attack in return. Ultimately, Nintendo needs to step up with its promotion of ARMS not just in terms. Kliff is almost certainly best as a mage.Īs a Soldier, Kliff can be quite fast even as his armor thickens as he promotes, ultimately ending with him as a fast tank. This allows him to tank incoming enemy hits and counterattack, perhaps twice, against their probably low resistance. Furthermore, as his defense and speed grow, he can fill a very rare and very powerful role, which is that of a magical frontliner. Fire Emblem Echoes: Alm's Party Character List & Recruitment Details Alm is the first of Fire Emblem Echoes: Shadow of Valentia's party leaders we're going to cover. These include spells that are cheap and fast, but weak, as well as powerful, but slow and costly, in both the short range and long range catergories, giving him a more complete toolset than the other villagers, and even most other Mages in the game. He learns a very wide variety of offensive spells, far wider than the other villagers. ![]() These are important to consider when choosing his class.Īs a Mage, Kliff excels in all aspects perhaps not at first, but as the game progresses he becomes the best Mage among the villagers. However, despite his low bases outside of those two stats, Kliff has a good defense growth rate (40%) and an amazing speed growth rate (60%), meaning that he may grow into a unit that cannot be double attacked by most units on top of not taking much damage. Once Kliff reaches level 3, you can promote him to one of several classes, including Cavalier, Soldier, Mercenary, Archer, or Mage.Īlthough Kliff has pretty bad base stats in general, he does have outstanding base luck and resistance, the latter of which is especially good 8 resistance is nothing to laugh at even towards the end of the game, which is good, because Kliff's resistance is not ever going to go up on its own. Although Atlas will struggle to hit enemy units early on, a Killer Bow and an A-rank support from Celica will allow take out more agile units. The base stats below are based on Kliff's appearance as an adult in Act 1 his stats in the Prologue are not listed. ![]() Furthermore, the lack of archers in Celica's route will only place more priority in reclassing Atlas into the bow-user. Though the archer class will not resolve any of Atlas' weaknesses, it will at least allow him to stay far away from the battlefield all while abusing his high attack from a safe distance. This is thanks to how stats are bumped up to a unit minimum and because its harder to gain experience (EXP) at high levels in Fire Emblem: Shadows of Valentia. First off, there is definitely less of a reason to wait to promote than in previous Fire Emblem games. Another viable option is to make Atlas an archer. This guide goes pretty in-depth about the subject. Make Atlas a Mercenary or don't expect him to be much use. As any other class, Atlas will almost certainly find himself being double attacked by every enemy instead, and his high HP and attack won't be enough to make up for all of his other low stats. Doing so will instantly raise his speed to 30, and while his 25% speed growth rate will leave him as one of the slower Mercenaries, a slower Mercenary is still faster than most units in the game, allowing him to double attack with his tremendous attack stat. To make Atlas a good unit, he must be promoted to Mercenary. Unfortunately, those are his only good stats both his bases and his growths in everything else are quite bad. ![]() ![]() Coming in as a mere villager, he already has 30 HP and 14 attack and his growth rates in both stats are around 50%, so they'll continue to rise as he amasses levels. Atlas has two amazing stats: his HP and his attack.
